with eyes shut,

i began to see.

there was never a real difference,

between

you and me.

Capturing Presence

The ephemeral Mystery of Life connecting Humans, beyond time and culture.

“I am a Disciplined Dreamer who loves and cares deeply about creating Compelling Imagery, along with Meaningful Story.”

Or in other words: I am a 25 year old multi-disciplinary artist with my focus on direction, photography and [screen]writing.

Capturing the Interplay of Light and Shadow, Expression and Emotion, for us to see and recognize ourselves in.

Glancing into the ever moving pond of our own narrative and conception of the world.

Visual Poetry as a means to look deeper into our mind and gain new perspective. What I aim to show in my photographs is what I most dearly seek to communicate:

We are one in Consciousness. One in the bittersweet beauty of life, which can feel tragic, ecstatic, secluded, complex or simple, serves as a reminder to return towards what makes us essentially human.

Photographs can serve as a portal into Presence. Their static nature decelerates the mind. Beauty and meaning are all around, because they happen within.

A picture can communicate far beyond words and serves as one of the true unifying language of the world.

Greedy Mouths, fly towards New Shores.

Fisher Tribe

Each of the shots above and below, which mainly show my beloved family members, were taken in medias res.

Witnessing people do what they love, is a phenomenal opportunity to capture authenticity.

Each of them were taken within two days time, during a stay in our home country, Greece. I especially love the archaic nature of the father [figure] yielding Poseidon’s trident, accompanied by the glimpse of Helios.

GENESIS

Juxtaposition in the Reality of Quantum Entanglement

A Matisse Ring-Dance of Divine Creatures, celebrating their inviolable Bond as Human Beings hand in hand. It was an incredible joy and pleasure to encapsulate a moment like this. An image to remind myself that there is quite nothing as ‘sincerely human’ as the joy of Dance. The World knows no culture without Dance. A most beautiful Common Thread between and across Mankind.

Breathing is Quintessential Part of the Song

An Ode to the Beauty of Motion

I am no Master,

But my sore Body, carrying soft Mind

was composed to autodetect,

magical Mystery,

Like the Butterfly was made to recognize subtle Breeze

That will carry it delicately towards new Color.

The moment She looked at me, I saw a droplet spill out of her golden Eyes,

Glimmer of the Ancient World,

A Warmth I hadn’t known before.

Gazing into the double Vortex

of Hazel Hues mingling with Sunlight:

I knew her name.

Slipped beneath the very Fabric of the World,

Inaudible for the most neatly spun Eardrum,

A shapeless note for a heart-shaped letterbox,

Found in this gently beating chest of mine.

Porcelain Man

By allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, we can claim a more sincere form of strength, allowing us to transcend our fears.

I like to look at it as the process of softening the outer shell. The porcelain man fears to be broken, so he decides to harden up more and more. He might appear stronger for others, but he is [subconsciously] well aware of his heightened risk of shattering.

It is only through facing our fears and embracing our vulnerability that we can overcome them and begin to think outside the confines of survival - and eventually enter a state of genuine empathy.

Not only for others, but first and foremost for ourselves. It is also a lack of ‘self empathy’ that ends up causing hurt and leads to self-destructive tendencies. Approaching concepts like these artistically opens the mind and makes change more accessible.

Sea and Solitude

between our feet on the ground,

and a mind in the clouds

there is light.

In the picture, two become one.

Cities shaped and held together by a Mantle of Blue

How gentle we are,

and how much violence there is in us.
